Thank you to everyone who attended the 2018 Manchester Day celebration on June 30 at Harry Wright Lake!

The opening ceremonies were held at 2 p.m., with Mayor Kenneth Palmer and Council President Craig Wallis joining Department of Recreation Director Tracey Lynch on stage. Following a tremendous rendition of the National Anthem by Cassidy Gobel, families were treated to free rides and games for kids, contests, musical performances, and vendors selling goods and food. This year’s headlining band was “Time Machine,” which played a wide-ranging selection of hit music spanning the decades. Capping off the day’s activities was a spectacular fireworks display over the waters of Harry Wright Lake. For the third year in a row, a live K-9 demonstration was provided by the Manchester Township Police Department by Ptl. Marc Micciulla and his K-9 partner Storm.

“Year after year, Manchester Day proves to be a great opportunity for our families to come together and have fun as a community,” said Director Lynch. “I hope that all of our residents had the chance to create memories with their families and neighbors. Thank you to everyone who helped to make this year’s event special.”

We’d like to give a special thank you to all of our sponsors for helping to make Manchester Day 2017 a memorable event. To stay up-to-date with the latest Manchester Township news and events, please visit Facebook.com/ManchesterNJ and Facebook.com/ManchesterNJRecreation.
