Thanks to the dedication of our employees, Manchester Township again will be accepting donations of winter coats, Thanksgiving food supplies and pet food.

Through December 12, 2015, Manchester Township is working with Jersey Cares to collect clean, used coats for donation. Coats are needed for men, women, and kids, in all sizes and styles. Snow suits are also needed, especially for the kids.

If you are cleaning out your closets or have treated yourself to a new coat for the winter, or your kids have outgrown their coats, please think of dropping off the old ones in the bin in the Town Hall lobby. Someone in New Jersey will welcome your gift of warmth!

The Manchester Township Senior & Social Services Department is now accepting donations for our annual “Thanksgiving Food Basket” program.

Donations of non-perishable food are being accepted from October 26 through November 20, Monday through Friday between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. at the following locations:

  • Redeemer Lutheran Church

2309 Highway 70 East, Manchester

  • Manchester Senior & Social Services Office

1 Colonial Drive, Manchester

Turkeys and hams may be dropped off at the Redeemer Lutheran Church on Monday, November 23, between the hours of 9 a.m. and 1 p.m.

Monetary donations are accepted through checks made payable to:

Manchester Township Holiday Program, C/O Brenda Sloan

1 Colonial Drive, Manchester, NJ 08759

Thanks to your generous donations last year, Manchester Senior Services, along with several organization and resident volunteers, packaged and delivered Thanksgiving baskets to 162 families/senior residents. We are asking again this year for your financial support and/or donations of non-perishable food.

For additional information, please call the Senior & Social Services Department at 732-849-8305.

Thank you in advance for your continued support of these important programs!
