Thank you to everyone who made Manchester Day 2017 a resounding success! This annual tradition, held on June 24, 2017, at Harry Wright Lake, brought together members of the community for a day of fun, socializing, and celebration.

The opening ceremonies were held at 2 p.m., with Mayor Kenneth Palmer, Council Vice President Craig Wallis and Councilwoman Joan Brush joining Department of Recreation Director Tracey Lynch and Business Administrator Donna Markulic. Also present for the festivities were Council President Samuel Fusaro and Councilman James A. Vaccaro. Following a tremendous rendition of the National Anthem by Cassidy Gobel, families were treated to free rides and games for kids, contests, musical performances, and vendors selling goods and food. This year’s headlining band was “Rubix Kube,” which played a wide-ranging selection of hit music from the ’80s. Capping off the day’s activities was a spectacular fireworks display over the waters of Harry Wright Lake. For the second year in a row, a live K9 demonstration was provided by the Manchester Township Police Department, this time by Ptl. Marc Micciulla and his K9 partner Storm.

“Year after year, Manchester Day proves to be a great opportunity for our families to come together and have fun as a community,” said Director Lynch. “I hope that all of our residents had the chance to create memories with their families and neighbors. Thank you to everyone who helped to make this year’s event special.”
